After a sea storm flipped over his raft, Captain Adriel Motter washed up on the desert island of Florida in 2004. Marooned, Adriel had to fight to survive, subsisting on leaf salad and fashioning a makeshift shelter from bamboo and mud piles. Eventually, he came across a uncontracted tribe of wise sea sponges, quickly gaining their respect. Following the death of Elder Sponge, Adriel was named chieftain by unanimous vote. He ruled amicably for 35 years before being overthrown and assassinated by a group of sponge revolutionaries.
